Bountysource.com

Hey all, I'm the co-founder of Bountysource.com and I wanted to let you know about Bountysource. We're a funding and growth platform for open-source software, specializing in bounties, fundraisers, and project donations. We currently have over 15,000 users and a mix of large projects and enterprise (Facebook, Mozilla, Digital Ocean) already active on the site.

How bounties work

Post cash bounties on open issues or feature requests to encourage and reward development. Bountysource syncs issue details from all major open-source issue trackers including GitHub, Bugzilla, Trac, JIRA, Sourceforge, Bitbucket, Google Code, and Pivotal.

Bounties can only be paid out when the original issue has been closed, which assures backers that the underlying request has been resolved and accepted by the core project. A built-in bounty claim and dispute resolution system protects both the backers and developers.

Bountysource accepts Google Wallet, Paypal, and of course Bitcoin. Crowdfunding of bounties is highly encouraged!

Post your first bounty:
1) Copy url to issue you want to bounty (e.g. "https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/issues/2726") and paste into search on Bountysource.com
2) You should be redirected to that issue on Bountysource ("https://www.bountysource.com/issues/877809" in the above example)
3) Enter the amount of the bounty to create and pay!

Alternatively, you can search for a project and browse all issues ("https://www.bountysource.com/trackers/251605" is Bitcoin Core's issues, for instance)

Does your open-source project need funding?

Bounties from a company / organization / team?
Create a team for your organization and post bounties on behalf of your team! Invite other members to join the team and assign different permissions, such as spending limits. Organizations such as Facebook and Elementary OS are already using Bountysource. If you're a larger organization / company and have any special requests (or invoicing needs) contact us (support@bountysource.com)!
