CryptoNight, the underlying algorithm behind Monero, is meant to prevent GPU from mining it - all in the name of fairness, which is a big drive for Monero too (flatter learning curve than most cryptos). Of course some smart guys will find a way and the best approach to ensure that it won't restricted to them is to short-circuit them by sharing the knowledge.

So, in the same vein as Primecoin, could you share your ideas about cloud-mining Monero? The requirements are different from Primecoin:
- 64bits CPU only
- At least 3 Gb of RAM (claimed)

I will update the post accordingly.

Monero: the first crytocurrency to bring bank secrecy and net neutrality to the blockchain.HyperStake: pushing the limits of staking.

Find a cloud mining platform and lets mine this together.

Find a cloud mining platform and lets mine this together.
So far, I see these ones:
Windows Azure (one month for free and you must give you credit card number - past first month, it is prohibitely expensive - save if Monero price skyrockets:))
Amazon EC2 (no information about it)
Some other VPS might have 3 Gb of RAM at a cheap enough price.

This requires first to check if this 3Gb of RAM thing is true and second to have an estimate of the price of Monero, and the evolution of the difficulty.

What is the most optimal for mining? What are the prices? We should split for mining.

It seems it is extremely focused on RAM. Secondarily increase in CPU power is most favourable after RAM.

So far, around 20000 satoshi (source). But this is way too early to conclude.
