Best $/GH (cheap) Miner?

So after buying a couple Antminer U2 ASICs and trying to use p2pool, I realised my hashrate was completely inadequate. So I did a bit of arithmetic and came to the conclusion that I'd need about 60GH/s to expect to get a share every day. However, the only cost effective ASIC I've been able to find online is the Antminer S1, which ends up being about 0.0034 BTC/GH (1.48USD/GH). It looks like a lovely device, but it's also overkill for my purposes- just obtaining a hashrate where it's reasonable to use p2pool.

So here's my question- is there any device (or combination thereof) that manages to give 60GH/s at around the S1's price per GH/s?

Just buying 60GH/s in U2's ends up costing more than an S1, and rigging 28 or so USB sticks sounds like a nightmare web of hubs. The upcoming NanoFury NF6 isn't any cheaper than the U2 per GH. Basically, I'm wondering if someone sells a third of an S1, at a third of the price. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Its a good time to be a buyer of mining hardware as there's plenty of options and they're getting quite competitive with each other on $/GH pricing.

If you're ordering for the future, the group buy on here from RoadStress that offers spondoolies miners for an August delivery is at a very low price, however its 4 months away (and has risk factors... will it be as good as they say... will it be on time, etc)... and I'm sure you will do the math (on any bitcoin calculator) and figure out that buying something now is better for you than buying a pre-order for something in the future.

$200 is a tough price point. If you want an Antminer S1, I'll sell you one right around that price, 0.5BTC plus actual shipping costs. I have an extra PSU I can include for free, just cover the shipping.

i missed something.  i think your math may be suspect...

wouldn't you need TEN antminer s1's to provide the same hashing power as ONE cointerra 1.6 TH/s box (but it'd be nearly double the power consumption and much bulkier and clumsier).  and if you down clock them to get the power requirement closer you'd probably need almost FIFTEEN antminer s1's to accomplish the same thing as just one cointerra box.

And you're saying the antminers are usually 180 gh consuming 360 watts.  down clock them to 140 gh you say?  and then they're 'only' 200 watts? (still more power hungry than cointerra box)  assuming you're right you still 'only' need TWELVE of them... at $500 each?  so thats, er, $6,000 to get something thats significantly more bulky, more power hungry, and only 40% more expensive than a cointerra 1.6 TH/s miner thats on sale now for $3799.

ant miners are good for entry level mining.  they're cheep and cheerful but expensive to run.  but they make less sense at scale compared to bigger boxes that are designed for professional or serious amateur use.

so 10 for 2600 well 10 for .604 btc or 6.04 btc total   right now that is 2700 .  you need 600 or less in psu = 3300 that is under 3799.

Here is the problem no machine today will make money at the current diff to fiat price btc.   unless you have free power.

punch in any machine that is in stock and every one there is needs higher btc/fiat price to break even unless you have free or dirt cheap power. 

All gear does not work  to pay off nothing zip zero.  So you need to figure out how do I get past the power issue.  you need about 5 cents a kwatt and .7 watts a hash with these really low fiat pieces for btc.

ant s1 runs happily at 155ghs consuming 200 watts   140 ghs gets you 166 watts  i have 10 of them undervolted

edit: S1 is currently best $/gh that you can buy now... spondoolies is yet another pre order. check the forums for all the lost dollars and dreams due to pre-orders

where can you get S1's for $255? I don't see any coupons around the web unless its a previous customer thing from Bitmain.
