Starting next month, we're planning on organizing a Bitcoin Wednesday evening on the first Wednesday of the month.

Amsterdam, Financial Center of the Netherlands, will now have a regular monthly Bitcoin meeting on the first Wednesday of every month.

For the innaugural session of Bitcoin Wednesday, there will be food and drink and talk about accelerated adoption of Bitcoin in the Netherlands.

We meet at Cafe Stanislavski in De Stadschouwburg.  Look forward to seeing you there.

For those whose Dutch or English isn't perfect yet, I'll translate.

The point is that everyone is welcome.  Amsterdam is an important Dutch city, but also an important international one.

One of the goals of this meeting is to "democratize" Bitcoin -- to bring together a diversity of people from all levels and backgrounds without any barriers in order to give Bitcoin a prominent role in Dutch society.

We aim to make a place for all to participate in order to bring the benefits of Bitcoin to everyone.

On 2 July 2014 we will be celebrating our 1st year anniversary with the 13th edition of Bitcoin Wednesday.

Just like Bitcoin itself, we just keep on going: We have held a Bitcoin event on every first Wednesday of the month for a full year.

At the first one, a year ago, we were glad when about a dozen people came to meet us.  Today we've got a list of about 400 strong and are the largest monthly meetup group in the country.
