What is Tenzura?
Tenzura is a cryptocurrency focused on fair distribution, security, and decentralization. Built on a pure proof-of-work consensus mechanism using the KawPow algorithm, Tenzura aims to create a balanced ecosystem where miners and users can participate equally from day one.
Note: This announcement comes after mining has been underway for some time, with most miners currently mining through pool.rplant.xyz. We're happy to officially introduce the project to the BitcoinTalk community and welcome new miners and users!
Project Origins & Vision
Tenzura was created with a specific vision that sets it apart from other cryptocurrency projects:

- Why Ravencoin Codebase: Selected for its proven asset layer capabilities and KawPow's energy-efficient GPU mining

Development & Governance
Development Team & ProgressCurrently, Tenzura has
two active volunteer developers working on the project in their spare time. While this means development progresses somewhat slower than commercial projects, it maintains the grassroots, community-driven nature of the project.
Development Fund Transparency:The 5% development fund is managed through a multi-signature wallet requiring approval from both core developers, with quarterly spending reports published to the community. Funds are exclusively used for:
- Infrastructure costs (servers, explorers, pools)
- Security audits and code reviews
- Exchange listing fees (when applicable)
- Development bounties for specific features
Community GovernanceDespite having a small core development team, Tenzura is committed to community governance:
- Development Proposals: Community members can submit improvement proposals through GitHub or Discord
- Decision Making: Major protocol changes require community discussion and consensus before implementation
- Transparency: Development meetings are held bi-weekly in our Discord with open community participation
