I only knew about the Bitcoin 'Foundation'. Never knew something like Bitcoin 'Association' also exists.

They are acting like the same old BF except under a different name. Look at their membership fee structure below. What will a Platinum membership buy you? You get to direct BA future direction and have more say in the decisions over someone else who has 5 btc?

Reminds me of a book... Animal Farm Grin

I don't know of many non profit organizations that don't have sponsorship / membership levels.

Well the pledge is great start but hopefully there will be many real actions to make sure this model stays in place and is a success.

+1

i se so many people trying to open up foundations. but i see no substance. no goals. no plan of achievement.

its almost like a bookclub where everyone comes together, pays a fee. and they just sit in circles voting on the best book or planning on what would be a good story to create.. but having no way to make a book or get it published.

so without the waffle what is the actual plan and who is going to do the actual footwork.

EG who is the guy going to government hearings?
who is the guy going to merchant meetings of international retail chains
who is the guy programming anything that will secure bitcoin protocol

i dont care about the board members who do the organising the 'discussions' and voting from their basements. i want to know who are the people that are going to bring some actual changes to bitcoin in the real world.. again please do not talk to me about the board members or basement dwellers that simply talk in the foundations little discussion boards.

show me some real world plan and concepts and strategies.

if there are no current real world plans . then do not ask for any membership fee's.

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at
