Simplecoin 5 (or latest clone of git) can talk to Litecoin with no issue. Double check your setting in ./includes/requiredFunctions.php

If you're setting up a private pool like I am, honestly, just roll with Pushpool, MySQL and myPHPAdmin to poke into the DB. After spending the last couple days trying to hack Simplecoin to be a good front-end, I decided it was too much work to get that SOB working for my own personal use.

I was thinking about setting up a public pool using the setup (since my pool instances live on Amzon EC2), but with the volatility of LTC + overhead costs associated with running a pool (even with ~2% fee), it'd be a gamble and in the end, I doubt I could make a profit.

The math in my head would only work out if I had some sort of hosting setup where the additional cost of running a LTC pool would be $0 additional. Even a large pool like Litecoinpool.org pulls in 2% on PPS, and at their current 6,000Khahs/sec, that comes out to 120Khash or about 50 LTC/day income from just running the pool.

Kinda a rambling reply, but I thought it might help you and others in our situation. Smiley

Cheers!  Smiley
