Hello, I've been thinking of putting a UPS for my G-blades. Do you think that will work correctly when the power goes out?
4 G-blade, 750W ATX Power supply with pci-e power cables, USB Powered hub, Raspberry ...........
I am planning to buy UPS 1500VA or 2000VA

Also I have some technical questions about things I have no very clear.
The raspi is set to mine the boot.
What if the g-blades are connected with power and powered hub but the raspberry pi is not connected?
And the other way around? What if the raspberry lights, usb cables are connected to g-blade and powered hub, but the g-blades are not connected to power? Are g-blades will be damaged?

I hope answers !!

The answer you are looking for would be highly dependent on your particular environment. Powering the blades without providing USB does not cause an issue, nor does USB power without 12V power connected. I have done both to mine. However whether or not your system will recover and restart hashing will depend on many things. The best way to figure it out is to put everything on a power strip and power it up at the same time to see if it works.

 all or nothing.  put every piece of gear on the ups.  including your router and your modem.

I have a ups.  I only have my router and my modem attached to it along with 1 pc and 1 screen/monitor .

When I get a black out

my gridseed blades  stop working
 my antminer s-1's stop working

but my pc, router and my modem all work.  So if a blackout happens  right now I stop mining but I can still use the net.

when power comes back my s-1's will power on and reboot  and I have to reset the gridseed blades.

I did this for a reason If there is a long black out .  my router  and modem will run for 3 hours maybe 4.  So when my s-1's come back they will work if the blackout is under 4 hours.

If I hook up my gridseeds  they will run the ups down faster and nothing will power back once the ups is run down.

That's good advice. I have several UPSs, but I haven't used any on mining equipment. I'm not sure why you would want to given the razor thin margins to begin with. The biggest is powering only my wifi, router, and cable "modem" so I can still access the net with my laptop/phones.

When there is a blackout, everything stops and continues when the blackout ends. I want to know if the duration of the blackout, with online ups, continue to mine gridseed without damage until the battery runs out. I would connect all the same ups (miner, raspi, hub, adsl-modem .......)

What I really want to avoid is when the blackout occurs when the blackout is caused by an electric crossover, when someone tries to turn on the main switch of the house, I want to avoid the attempt to turn on and off.

When an electric crossover, the attempt to turn on and off when you try to re-light. The second it takes from when you turn herself jumping until

I want childproof. I like quiet go home.

a grid seed blade pulls about 90 watts.  if you have everything hooked up to a ups .  it will keep mining none stop until the ups runs down.

what is the exact make and model ups you want to buy.

 and how many grid seed blades do you have?

  1  = 90 watts
2 = 180 watts
3 = 270 watts

I'd only suggest an UPS if you have unreliable power where you live. Most affordable UPS aren't going to run very long on battery with a significant power drain. Most consumer-grade UPS are really meant to give you time to save your work and safely power-down your PC. However, UPS are very useful if you have frequent, short power outages.

the post above is pretty accurate.  Sounds like you have some fun loving children that play with the power.  If you do the ups you picked may help.

Also read this below as I think you need a better power supply

 I own grid seed blades    they are not 140 watts they are 90 watts with a good power supply and with freq 850 clocking .    what do you power your grid seeds with?

I use this platinum psu

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JG5LSN8/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and a few sets of these:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JG7AGDY/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

these are terrible on power:

http://zoomhash.com/collections/power-supplies/products/12v-10amp-power-adapter-for-gridseed-blade

http://www.gawminers.com/12v-30a-360w-led-switching-power-supply/

if you use poor power supplies you waste a lot of power.

I just wanted to know if it can damage the g-blade when running with battery.

I know I will not last more than 5 minutes but with that I have enough.

I use this power supply

http://www.corsair.com/en-us/cs-series-modular-cs750m-750-watt-80-plus-gold-certified-psu

I say consume 140w, because the specifications put it consumes 140w but what you tell me, also I'll have to buy something like this.

http://www.lightinthebox.com/es/2-piezas-de-la-ue-plug-power-watt-volt-amp-energy-meter-analyzer-con-factor-de-potencia_p1201529.html?currency=EUR&litb_from=paid_adwords_shopping&gclid=CO_6qNOR3L4CFdMftAodBQgAbg

And yes,  i have some fun loving children that play with the power, but, the problem is that it's not as children.  Sad Sad Sad

that is a pretty good power supply I would think you get 95 watts a blade with it. at worst 100 watts

the meter you linked will let you know your real power use.

I believe the ups you linked will work and not hurt the blades.

good luck with this.
