I have the grand total of 0.068 in my wallet in Multibit - when i try and send them i get the error message "There are not enough funds in this wallet to send 0.068 (£4.08) Note that you can only spend confirmed transactions Remember that the sender pays a fee."

Do i Have to little in my wallet to send to another address or is it an error?
I know its only 0.068 but i need it to be sent elsewhere.

Any ideas?

regards

Without information about the number of outputs that make up that balance, it is difficult to say how much of that 0.068 BTC you can access.

You could try sending 0.0679 (which would allow MultiBit to include a 0.0001 BTC fee) or 0.0675 (which would allow MultiBit to include a 0.0005 BTC fee).

Would you be willing to share your receiving addresses so they can be looked up in the blockchain to determine how big of a fee will be necessary?

Thanks - the smaller total worked - I had a duplicated amount in localbitcoins of 0.068 in the receive bitcoins wallet (which i dont know how to move) but now its added the 0.0679 to total 0.1359 in the receive bitccoins section
1. How do i move that to my wallet which is showing 0.0679
2. My receive address is 1G2khdALAC1S1epDV4ZzuxFz9kjD2JvjF4

Thanks for any help

You can try doing a 'Reset blockchain and transactions' to make sure your wallet matches what is on the blockchain.
Then send all the money out except for a small fee (0.0001). If that fee is too small increase it to 0.0005, then 0.001.

RE: btc at localbitcoin.com
You will most have to talk to the localbitcoin.com people if that is where your bitcoin is being held.

You'll probably have to get help from the person who runs the localbitcoins website.

What sort of error do you get when you try to send the 0.1359 bitcoins from localbitcoins to your personal wallet?

The send button isn't enabled until MultiBit finishes its sync with the Bitcoin network.

Multibit forces you to pay a miner's fee even if it would not be necessary for the TX to be confirmed. Try reducing the TX amount in increments of BTC .0001 until it allows you to send.
