I'd like to give you a heads up about HDMNode (
http://github.com/yariv/HDMNode), an open source Node.js based HDM wallet implementation. It's an API client and server -- I haven't built the UI yet -- that should be useful for any developer that wants to get a head start developing a complete HDM user-facing wallet. I'm releasing HDMNode because I think the community could benefit from a 100% open source HDM wallet implementation with a secure, well audited code base. HDM wallets have significant security and privacy advantages over many other wallet types and I hope that they'll make the Bitcoin ecosystem more secure for users. I hope that developers will use HDMNode in their own wallets and contribute back fixes or improvements they make. Long term, I hope that HDMNode will evolve into a complete wallet implementation so users who don't want to give away their financial privacy to a hosted wallet company could host it on their own servers. Although I expect most users to use a hosted wallet, I don't think users should be forced to choose between privacy and security.
