Here is my suggestion.  right know there are 1 or 2 small solo mining pools.

The operators of those pools are not well known and who knows if your would ever collect your solo block if you won.

Right now I count at least 8 well know pools that pay off and people do not fear that they will pay.

If any one of you ran a solo mining pool as an option.

Mining for BTC and NMC  with a 1 btc fee  and a 2 nmc fee for the winner of the block it would be a viable option for a miner.

Lets say miner a has 2 antminer s-1's  and 5 antminer U-2's

he could point his big guns (s-1's) to your standard poll and he could point his pop guns (U-2's) at the solo pool.

If someone hits a btc block you send him all the coins less 1BTC.

If someone hits a nmc block you send him all the coin less 2NMC.

I am thinking this would allow for getting new/fresh miners.

An ebay add saying buy this U-2 or buy this R-box   it will give you a chance at every block mined as long as you point it to

Solo POOL

Right now   a 25 coin BTC block is worth 16250 USD
Right now   a 50 coin NMC block is worth    150 USD

SEEMS to me a good  idea to attract new miners.

My skills are not that of coding and pool design.

Is this a viable idea for a bigger respected pool?

Of is it just not feasible?

Comments are welcome.

Yeah I can see noobies mining on there and then crying for the next 3 years when somebody scams them out of 25BTC.  When a pool owner says trust me there has to be a foundation for that trust.  Running a large pool for a couple years is a good place to start.

I see you took the red pill.
I ate the blue one.

Back on topic.

I have 25gh in usb sticks.
I have 65gh in r-box units
I have 130gh in r-box units arriving
I have 420gh in underclocked s-1's
I have a 1th hosted dragon miner

If bitminter, btcguild, ghash, eligus etc ran a solo pool I would run all my smaller miners about 220gh

this pool would also be a way to  make a 51 percent pool less likely as you don't care how big it is you only care if you gear hits the block.
