Dogecoin started as "just for kicks" altcoin  that really doesn't take itself seriously.

But it became such a hype that it's now one of top altcoins (market cap).

But it never had any serious wide range usage. Even though, it keeps speculative and "just for kicks" value.

But now it will HAVE some trade/market value:

Minecraft is just HUGE. Any project from same developer will atleast have SIGNIFICANT impact.
Also some future projects of Minecraft DEV might be tight to DOGE.

Do you think it would open doors to real market/business usage of DOGE?
Sort of growing up for DOGE?

Sorry to say, that Minecraft tie up was just a satire written by the original developer, Notch, to make a statement about the number of games that people by pre-release even before they know what the game is like.

Being able to buy it with dogecoin was just a part of that satire.
