About 3 days ago, I decided to give the MultiPool.us mining pool a try to see if it would provide any increase in earnings. I was interested in its ability to examine the price and difficulty of various alt-coins and automatically redirect hash-power to mine the most profitable coin. So I pointed my little ASIC farm at the pool and have been making a test-run for the past 72+ hours...
However, I've thus far been sorely disappointed. Had I simply mined BTC at a good pool like Eligius, I would've thus far earned around ~0.07 BTC (or $41.97 USD). But in the past 72hrs+ at MultiPool, I've only earned about ~0.02625 BTC... I'm not sure if this is just due to some bad luck / variance, or if my earnings just suck at MultiPool. But I'm going to risk the loss of a couple more days of mining revenue to see if my luck picks up and earnings start rising.
In any case, I now have a "basket full" of various SHA-256 alt-coins which I'd like to sell for BTC. Below is a list of what I currently have, and I will try to keep this up-to-date for interested parties:
