Ramadan is a month of fasting whereas Moslems abstain from eating foods, smoking, drinking and engaging in any forms of sexual activities or relations. In Islamic religion, fasting gives a lot of blessings, but during Ramadan, they believe that the rewards are multiplied.

Hello!

It will come in 1 day. I am waiting for it. It removes the stress and helps for a nice diet. There are many advantages when fasting but it is a little hard on the first 3-4 days, after that it will be nice.

Kindly,
        Muhammed Zakhir

Happy to know that you are going through the Holy Quran regularly. I will request you to go through the explanation of Quran (Maareful Quran by Mv. Shafi-Bangla Version: 8 Volume) to understand and know the beauty of Islam.

Happy Ramadhan to all the Muslims, indeed, i don't celebrate it since i'm from mixed family and it's somehow normal not to celebrate any of the big days.

I thought it was muslim belief to abstain from drinking all the time, not just during Ramadhan?

I don't partake in fasting but complete respect to those who do. Difficult but rewarding experience. Happy Ramadan.

Two Medicines for Your Heart During Ramadan: Fear and Hope
Imām al-Ghazzāli was asked, "What is better fear or hope?"
He responded, "The premise of this question is wrong - it's like asking what is better bread or water! Bread is better if a person is hungry and water is, if a person is thirsty. If the need for them is the same, then both are equal.
Fear and hope are two cures for the heart, and their need based on the illness. If a person is lazy, feels secured from God's plan and is confused with himself (blinded by fame and intellect, for example) in his relation to God, then fear is best, and if a person feels depressed and despondent of God's mercy, then hope is.
Sayyidina, Imam 'Ali (God be pleased with him), advised his son,
"Son! Fear God to the extent that if you were to meet him with good equal to all the good done by humanity, he would not except it from you, and hope in him to the extent that if you meet him with evil equal to that done by all people, he would forgive you.'"
Imām ibn al-Qayyim (ra) said,
"Fear and hope are like two wings of a bird, if one of them is cut, it cannot fly."
May Allah bless us to achieve balance during this blessed month. Please like my institution's page bellow. Ella Collins Institute plans to do some great work, with God's blessing, over the next few years. Your support helps us stay independent and grow.
1000 Ramadān blessings to you!

I fast occasionally. Not for any particular religious reasons, but I noticed the hunger fuels drive.
