Buying one of these would be reasonable for solo mining on your laptop while your working in hopes of solving a 25 BTC block. The odds are against you, but the possibility is there. And for only $20 it's not too expensive. You won't make enough at a pool to be able to withdraw very often as the minimum is .01 btc usually.

It would make more sense to go buy a couple of lottery tickets instead.  That way you know right away that you lost instead of having to wait.

They are using extra electricity (albeit, not very much) so they are likely costing you money.

Are buying 3x USB Bitcoin Block Erupter ASIC Miner 330MH/s worth it?

I seen these on ebay and I was just wondering if they would be worth it to mine and I was just wondering if I were to mine at least 10hours a day for a month, how much btc do you think I'll make? Just a brief estimate would be nice or just a realistic opinion about buying 3 for $15 each
So I'm curious.  Did you ever end up picking up those 3 block eruptors?  And if so how's your profitability doing?

$25 to go and another 5838 years..

I got 9 usb miners... running at 1.7 ghs each and 1 gridseed 5 chip running at 350KHS

I use the 9x1.7 ghs to mine sometimes on cex.io and once I get enough to buy say 0.5 ghs I buy it and then list that on ebay...

I also use the ghs to mine new coins.. and got lucky with some that were 1 sats on the exchanges.. and they went up to 30sats.. I mined like 500k of them and got a good return from that...

Invested that btc in to Vericoin... and also some other coins...

I use the 350 khs miner the same way find new coins and mine it for a week or so and flip on exchanges for other coins I think will go up in value..

It has done well for me.... I am going to re-invest in to a Zeusminer The Blizzard model for like $110 and also going to get 2 of the Rockminers... for like $70 each...

So going to spend $300 and increase my mining power some what... nothing to write home about .. but good for something I started with a $30 investment 6 months ago...

and now I am sitting on 1000 Vericoins.. and still have a few 1000 coins in other wallets.. that I will hold on to..

I also did play the exchanges a bit ... buy low and then sell high... made some there to..

Also from the cex.io ghs I sold on ebay I bought other mining contracts with for other new coins.. worked well
