http://news.sky.com/story/1287066/fifa-bosses-secretly-doubled-their-salaries

"Fifa bosses secretly doubled their salaries to $200,000 (£118,000) earlier this year, leaked documents reportedly reveal.

The alleged bumper pay rise, reported by The Sunday Times, comes despite football's governing body facing some of the most serious corruption claims in its history."

This is nothing compared to the millions of USD they received from the Qaqtari Sheikhs. The 2022 World Cup is a gigantic scam. According to some reports, the Qataris spent as much as $1 billion to bribe the officials.  Angry

Fifa Bosses is still human. Human basically greed. (Homo Economicus)  Cool
If we talk about animal, it become greed for satisfy it's hunger
If human's greed can't be measured, as long they do not have enough good attitude and good faith
they only will satisfy their own private need

^^^ Global sporting organizations should get rid of these corrupt people. This issue exists not only with FIFA, but all across the other sports as well. Similar scandals are occurring with cricket and rugby also.

Other soccer organizations should step in and make their own group and make FIFA irrelevant.

And yeah the Qatar thing sucks balls, think of all the fans and athletes who are going to be in trouble with Qatar's super strict laws. No partying allowed especially for the women?

damn really?  that's only my opinion but i think that people should not encourage the world cup much..
you know the situation in brazil.. so i don't think that i have to talk a lot about that!
i am addicted to other things so i can understand how much the fans of football are in love with the  world cup  but ..
this can't go on! they are taking advantage of us ._.! it's ok as long as they like it! but  i don't think those brazillians wanted that to happen ! many families will be living in miserables way now... nothing was done by the fifa  to help those people or something.. the economy of brazil is now kind of ruined! and that's what happened  in 2004 in greece(the euro) we wasted a lot of money on it... and our goverment keeps wasting...

FIFA itself is corrupted. Non-profit organisation which isn't taxed during events and has billion dollar bank...

FIFA is an association established under the Laws of Switzerland. Its headquarters are in Zurich.

FIFA publishes its results according to IFRS. The total compensation for the management committee in 2011 was 30 million for 35 persons. Blatter, the only full time, earns approx 2 Mio CHF, 1.2 Mio fix, the rest bonus

Correct. Has anything changed because it has become public?

Moving the proverbial goalposts was never going to solve anything, because corrupt organisations like FIFA will just find the next best way to abuse their position to get rich. As long as they have no one to answer to, this bullshit will continue.

Not a terrible surprise for me Fifa is a fairly corrupt organization and needs to be rebuilt into something else.
That said $200,000 well they could be worse seen some charity CEO's with million dollar salaries
Under the argument you get what you pay for so they won't betray you so interesting enough.

To be honest I would expect someone with such a high profile job to be paid £118,000 and it amazes me that they were doing it for half that.

I think their salaries will continue to rise over time. Charities are usually like that, a large amount goes to the organisation and to taxes.

Not surprised, since the organization profits more from the World Cup than does the country hosting it. Heck, the profit they receive is tax exempt as well. They even spent $27M on a fictional movie about the history of FIFA and it's original execs. Arrogant much?

There was a video that had leaked of some officials from ghana trying to sell games before the WC started. Good thing they got busted, sick that it's still happening in this day and age.

It's their business and their money. They have the right to up the salary and bonuses. Why does the public care what a private company pays themselves. This is ridiculous and most people are just jealous it's not them.
