Hi guys i know theres a lot of folk waiting on buying a 1th machine now the older slower machines are quickly becoming obsolete and not generating as much coin.
My advice is if you thinking about it do it!
Ive been looking at the various 1th machines on offer over the past three weeks including the bitmain s2 but i decided take the dip on the A1 type and ordered one of the new A1 chip 1th machines from my supplying agent in china. The machines looks to be a lot more better built than much of the stuff ive sen coming out of the china including the Avalon clones which seemed to break so easily and run too hot. This machine runs a lot cooler than i expected and more stable too. My garage is not some much of an oven as it used to be. Speed wise its showing 1TH in back end and and at the pool eligus. The back end cgi hybrid is in english and very simple to use with the ability to alter difficulty from between 4 and 1024. Then you can access the usual network settings and your pool user and address etc.
The miner overall looks very well put together with sheathed thick ATX and PCIE power cables a cougar 1000w PSU which is modular. Theres one power board inside the miner then a raspberry pi, the raspberry has a sd card in it which I assume runs the hybrid cgi. No fancy LCD on this model but i like it because its more compact than the double stacked dragon miner that ive seen. Power pull at the wall is 1057 watts so thats 1.57 wall per ghs
My only gripe is that it is still noisy compared to antminer but i assume this is down to the server grade high CFM delta 1.82A fans which are certainly pushing some air you can almost feel it lift the lid off when you undo the screws but i guess this is whats keeps the unit so cool.
Im so very happy with this miner so much so that ive just ordered another two. Im just wondering about overclock now and if it would be possible maybe someone on here could look at a copy of the cgi thats on the raspberry pi
Heres a
video on youtube of the ASIC:-
