Okay so today Blockchain.info was down and I desperately wanted to send a transaction. I have the json file wallet backup and tried to import it in Multibit but they dropped support for this it seems.  I tried an old version where I could import but it got me errors.

is there any Client which supports these wallet backups?

Thanks

Apparently there is this pyton script that you can use: https://gist.github.com/anfedorov/2757171

The wallet key tool also supports this: https://github.com/prof7bit/wallet-key-tool
thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=610555.0

I didnt try either of those, use at your own risk.

Since blockchain is working again you could also just send all your coins to any new wallet.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

1st question - when blockchain.info was down today?

And the answer to your question is here :

"(...)You can also import blockchain.info wallet backup files by changing the file type in the 'File format' drop down combobox.(...)"

Thanks for letting me know Smiley I didn't saw that.

Well it happens occasionally. Very occasionally that's why I did asked when this happens cause this is always interesting when they're down Smiley
