The price will continue to bounce up and down and the reason is simply because it's such an unreliable currency to predict.
Miners sell, investors panic-sell when miners sell and the bridge just goes from there until a good piece of news comes out and the price rises, then the process happens all over again.
It could be market dictation, but it isn't always the case

Almost the same happens with anything but major currencies (euro, dollar). Look at the gold and silver price swings over a few recent years, as an example. Or at that famous oil fall and rise of 2008, when it went down from $140 to nearly $30 per barrel and then bounced back to above $100.

There's a lot of lucky NEETs that mined BTC in the early days and are still holding and devating to dump or not. The price stability could make these people nervous as hell.

Forget it. Although I'm not holding a big amount of BTC but I'm not selling it that soon.

interestingly enough that more and more people have started talking about selling when its pretty obliviously that the price will go up by the end of the year. I wonder if they are saying that because want to buy now at a little price or they are really sure that the bitcoin price will go down

Well, it's not obvious the price will go up by the end of the year, but it's a very realistic possibility.

Well the volume continues to remain low, so whoever is selling and buying is not making enough waves or ruffling enough feathers.
