i recieved a payment from a friend but I also got this like 2 seconds after? a satoshi transaction with this note "Public Note: You have a new message: http://bitmessages.org"

blockchain has marked the address as "SPAM SEND"

is it something to be worried about?

I wouldn't worry about it. Dust transaction spam has happened in the past.

People are even marketing their sites now by sending one satoshi to a big amount of addresses with public notes on them.

Nope, you don't need to worry about it at all.

Lol they even use now satoshi to advertise their sites.
Well thats a good move but in the other hand it also give negative vibes to their site.
People will think that the site who send a message using satoshi is spam and the result they will avoid using that site. Roll Eyes

Bad publicity is still better than no publicity, especially considering the huge amount of websites related to cryptocurrencies.

probably like 0.01% but that's only 10 000 satoshis

some 0.06$ per sign up then

still worth it Cheesy

And gambling sites are those who do this the most, so 0.06$ to get a customer who might lose hundreds on their site is definitely worth it!

yeah, but how much time does it take to send 10 000 transactions? Cheesy

Surely the process is automated to send to random adresses found in the blockchain.

hmm

I would want to try that but I'm afraid of being marked as a spammer and no one wanting to join the website Cheesy

There's no "public directories of scammers" Tongue
Really, this should not be a problem. Most people will simple ignore or forget about your website, and won't refrain from joining it in a latter date simply because they received a satoshi from you. It should be worth it for the people who will actually join it because of the publicity Smiley
