I haven't watched Jon Stewart's show for a long time because I feel he has gone soft on his criticisms, but I still respect him for having some guts left. The pro-Israel US propaganda is goddamn ridiculous, but I'm not surprised in the least. Think about it: America provides tons of military aid/business to Israel, so that means some companies are benefiting, and then in turn these companies use their bought-up media puppets to make it sound like Israel is the good guy trying to defend himself from evil terrorists. All for the purpose of continuing to sell weapons that go to Israel. It's ALWAYS. ABOUT. MONEY. Not morals, not right and wrong.

I'm not gonna blame Israel and call them evil, but it is painfully obvious that they are not "good guys" and they've done plenty of horrendous stuff over the past 50 years, just like Hamas. Except Israel does it on a much bigger scale, thanks to their military superiority. In the end, the only people that benefit from this is the US corporate military industry, at the expense of human lives in Israel and Palestine. The sooner we get honest reporting on the Israel-Palestine situation, the sooner we can reach peace.

i don't know, if you're bitching all the time it starts to look bad. no doubt there's pro-israel sentiment in the US, but the whole topic is a sticky situation. hamas is a terrorist organization after all. it seems like there are no good guys in this situation.

i'm a bigger fan of colbert, and i like john oliver's show even more.

Israel is illegally occupying the west bank. They are oppressing the people that lived there for centuries. Palestinians have been way before most of the Europeans, The Jews migrated there after the British Mandate for Palestine ended.

They both have claims to the land but I feel like Israel is more in the wrong because Palestine was the most recent one to occupy it legitimately.

I think you mean European Jews migrated there after the British Mandate ended. Jews have been in Israel for thousands of years.
