This is just getting ridiculous. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=643028.1200 And this guy even gave out his real name and contact information.  Bittrex really needs to put in some kind of vetting process.  I think this is the 4th scam meltdown in a week or something.  I managed to turn 2 dollars into 1 before I got out at the last moment.  They almost got me too, what with the legit looking functional website, reasonable sounding plan and even phone numbers!

The real masters of the universe are the Urocoin people.  Every Monday they Photoshop up some "official" document from India or somewhere from some company taking their ~$2.15 or so coin for multi-million dollar shipments of Urea.  Then they move coins around to make it look like 12,500 Uro orders are piling up.  Every now and then they even have the dev on video.  I've made some nice money on the pumps, feel sorry people who just can't see the truth.

Feels like this little "industry" is dying day-by-day.  To much BS, too many scams, too many lies.  I had hope for Vootcoin.  They looked like they were creating a whole infrastructure with Cloud storage, an anon market and an anon exchange.  But somehow nothing ever seems to actually happen and the ETAs get more-and-more-vague.  There was also weird dev drama.  Sad.  Might be that they're manipulating the value down to accumulate but those are the thoughts of bag-holder in denial.w

I just wish some team or group would realize that they could make much much more money by actually doing something honest and pushing it through.  They'd make millions.  Idiotic short-term scammer thinking will (if it already hasn't) killed crypto.

I think he's talking about that and the fact that the thread is locked and there has been no word at all from the dev since then.

Not at all surprised.

STOP buying new shit coins, you (the users, along with Bittrex who hosts these multiple scams) are killing the market and encouraging more scammers. Why on earth did this coin even have 500 BTC volume after a day?

Why do  run and not wait for the weekend... the coin could have gone up more and he could have made so much more... and also why give out your personal detail and such... if you were going to scam people... just makes no sense...

can't wait to hear from the dev - wonder if here will ever post again....

That must have been what felt wrong about it to me. There is something dodgy about someone who needs to sign his name 'ceo' over and over.

ya i have been harping your last point endlessly..

sincere real effort would bring in whales that would be able to put up volumes greater than anything we ever seen before..

instead the greedy morons who start scammy deceptive projects and their idiot supporters
are willing to take that 1 btc profit rather than 100 btc profit going legit..
they are are dumb .

one Richard Branson supporting an Altcoin is worth more than every idiot in crypto spewing excuses COMBINED !

- Create new account..
- Scammy cloning fucktard makes shit coin.
- Exchanges prepare to add it asap.
- Heavy weight financial pro's around the globe roll their eyes.
- Small time Losers rub their hands together like they own a power plant in Springfield
- Losers spout of excuses.. "user demand" or "but, but, i made 1 or 2 BTC"
- rinse and repeat.

- Create new account..
- ...

meanwhile..

the vast majority of real financial players holding a billion cash in their wallets..
look and laugh and close the browser window.. they are not stupid.
are you ?

Well Rivaa is not just "some company" they are a big Indian clothing retailer that hires Bollywood actresses to model their clothes.

http://www.rivaa.in/Announcement

If anything PRO shows what a REAL scam is like; sloppy, thrown together, and ends in a few days plus absolutely no digital evidence of Darren Palmer even existing as a business owner. Meanwhile there is a paper trail of documents, websites and photos proving GES's existence back a decade online.

Also the fact $750k dollars worth of URO coins were "stacked" in the big 12,500 wallets and not sold during the big pump is telling in itself.

you know this shit really has to stop
in the end if this keeps going on
within a few months the whole industry is gonna be worth a fraction of what it really is
in july there have been 4-5 major scams
theres no fresh money coming in
just the top 1% of pumpers getting richer and richer

yup...100% agreed. the community isn't growing. new people aren't getting involved. its the same shit different day. we are just slowly bleeding ourselves dry

I also keep saying the altcoin community is the largest reason for the drop in BTC value. Everybody buys a little BTC to get in, makes money on the exchanges, sells for USD. The ones who don't make money generally baghold and disappear after frustration. And I agree with Bitornio on the community not moving upwards very much (thus no new entries for BTC buy orders). The learning curve to get into crypto is still way too high for most.

If everybody is selling and nobody is buying BTC, it can only go down.

Way to go - really! There's nothing wrong with limiting your punts to the size of an expensive instant-scratch lotto ticket and hope to win enough for a "free" meal at a nice restaurant.

Way to control yourself. Smiley

from the paypro twitter post there is to be a press release some time today to explain what happened to pro over the past 24 hours..

I just hope this is not a new step to try and scam more people out of btc

The dev really needs to explain what happened clearly and be fully open to gain our trust again...

But I don't think getting the trust of buyers again will be easy...

I think maybe gifting some of the 10mill coins the dev owns would be a good start to the people that lost a lot in the pump and dump..

Not at all surprised.

STOP buying new shit coins, you (the users, along with Bittrex who hosts these multiple scams) are killing the market and encouraging more scammers. Why on earth did this coin even have 500 BTC volume after a day?

Allow me to present your smoking gun, courtesy of a later poster who posted a Pastebin chat dump from July 30th. Smell the gunpowder:

Quote
3.[8:25:04 PM] coby.percy1: buy pro now mateus
4.[8:25:05 PM] ThatDandyMan: You're losing out Mateus
5.[8:25:07 PM] Darren Palmer: Instant Bitcoins will GUARANTEE 2500 sats on Monday        <------ DEV. He owns the INSTANT BITCOINS site.
6.[8:25:08 PM] timertrainer: yeah mateus we've been making loads of money with PRO yesterday and today
7.[8:25:11 PM] ThatDandyMan: Massive profit
8.[8:25:12 PM] coby.percy1: holy shit
9.[8:25:15 PM] timertrainer: >on monday
10.[8:25:57 PM] Cryptohawk: this is fucking crazy
11.[8:25:57 PM] coby.percy1: i so wish we had darren in here when this shit was 200 like an hour ago

"i so wish we had darren in here when this shit was 200 like an hour ago"

And there's your answer. The hot-alt frenzy is a helluva lot like the Internet-bubble frenzy in 1999.

Quote
18.[8:27:12 PM] Mateus: pro is up 250% wtf, how did you guys spot this before it happened

"pro is up 250% wtf, how did you guys spot this before it happened"

So there you go. It's really the same old story: a huge quick gain igniting the usual stampeded of greedy speculators hoping to get theirs. It's so much like the hottest part of the NASDAQ in '99...

Only, instead of Internet-bubble impulse speed, the same old story plays out at altcoin-speculaion warp speed. A bubble here, a bubble there, what's this week's bubble? What's today's?

Bubbles always produce bagholders...always. Unfortunatly, it's the same old drama where most of the stampeding herd winds up licking their losses. I should know because I've held a bag or two in my time.

If there's any silver lining to this frenzy, the bagholding speculators who stick around will eventually toughen themselves up to the point where they can just say no to the next bubble - here and in the stock market.

That $1000 which got decimated last month, if you stop and really learn from it - and make sure your learnings stick at the hot-button point when you're about to yield to the same ole debbil of quick speculative profits - may well save you tens of thousands someday on the stock market. It's only a matter of time before the Next Great Bubble starts inflating on the NASDAQ.
