Like you can't conceive of a world without the Internet today, five years from now you won't be able to conceive of a world without the Bitcoin. Right now, people are apprehensive of it, but they don't want to condemn it or write it off. The Bitcoin intrigued me because it could trigger a big change in the way business is done. It would make money transfer through Visa, MasterCard, Western Union and banks redundant since all you would need is the click of a key. Virgin Atlantic and Zynga are pioneers in accepting Bitcoin payments.

If the claim that he's been researching bitcoin for two years is true, I can only assume he must have suffered some sort of head trauma.  Someone researching bitcoin for 2 hours could correct all the fallacies in that article.

It's complicated, so I've had to dumb it down a bit.

Translation: "I'm dumb and couldn't understand it, so I made some shit up."

Though a journalist should be competent at gathering and reporting information accurately, it's a legitimate obstacle that Bitcoin isn't easily understood as a complete model even by people of higher-than-average intelligence, even after researching it for hours.
