Unfortunately true, the ISIS CoinDesk article put a halt on the market rally from it's steady 630-650 rise.

Keep in mind it's quite a leap for the average person to wrap their mind around Bitcoin so it'll take some time between them first hearing about it, then seeing the FUD and then finally coming around and embracing it. As more places offer discounts for using Bitcoin as payment, you'll continue to see more people using it. Many people go 18 years before they pop their cherry, just give it some time and things will unfold accordingly. Smiley

The majority (56 percent) of those polled said they knew ‘‘nothing at all’’ about the currency. Nearly half (47 percent) of respondents said that the U.S. government should not allow people to use bitcoins to purchase goods and services.

Does anyone but me see a numbers problem here? 56+47=103%

Newlyweds know nothing at all about sex so the U.S. government should not allow people to have sex.

Would assume those percentages relate to different questions.

Article is quite crappy but at least it has some vaguely educational info on bitcoin at the end which might help encourage some more open minded readers.

Stop checking the weather every two seconds and let's talk about the climate change. It's much more important you know.

good news and merchant adoption won't move the price all that much.
big price needs big money.  displacement of gold market, hedge funds, and mass adoption.
not to worry, all in due time.

That picture is stuck in April, is there an update up to today? Looks like if you project the price action to July, it will be out of that uptrending green channel, broken to the downside, or at least sideways, but still out of the green channel.

Even if the price is dropping in these weeks, if we look at the charts it's clear that we are still following the previous bubbles pattern.
There's some more time to wait for the next rally, but with the adoption growing everyday won't be so far.

Time frames between previous bubble were shorter (~5 months), this extended period (over 8 months) of sideways price action means the pattern of bubbles is broken. Some other pattern has started to form.
