This rationale from the White House is leading some to speculate that U.S. personnel in the region are being left in harm’s way “as collateral” because the Obama administration “can’t get his party and donor base to support further action in Iraq,” according to the source.

“That’s where a lot of the confusion is coming from” on Capitol Hill, the source added. “When there’s an imminent threat you get your civilian employees out of the region.”

Acting on his own again. He needs media headlines to read that American civilians are being killed to justify doing this thing all over again. Neocons want to go all in again for MIC profits so in reality, they're all on the same side. Congress just sits back and does nothing as usual even though they control the purse strings, or they used to.

To elaborate even further, these sources from Congress are acting like the Prez is doing his own thing again and they have no idea where this authority is coming from on the heels of Prez 0 attempting to get rid of AUMF in Iraq. When in actuality, it's the CIA that's meddling under the table and behind the scenes creating the conflict on one hand and then arming the other side on the other. I feel bad for civilians that are operating in a government capacity in areas where the CIA is operating and dealing arms w/ terrorists.

Lobbies are pushing again and guiding for the direction they want him two sadly, what annoys me most, is that the US didn't push for a UN resolution on the matter, and are not putting in the table a Proper plan, that will bring peace to Iraq
