I just moved back to my apartment and I found some old miners (SHA-256). The speed is around 1.3 GH/s (WOOPIE) but I am going to mine anyway for fun. Which coin and pool should I choose? I used to mine AUR, I need one that gives a lot of coins so I can exchange them for BTC easy.

Turn off the news and read. Watch Psywar, learn something important about our society and PR, why and how it got started and how it brainwashes you.

Boy have you been out of the game.  Your PrimeDice sig is going to pull in more income in 1 post than your 1.3GH/s on any pool.  Just point it at BTC Guild, Bitminter, Eligius, or similar pool if you are inclined to mine.

I do it for fun mostly, no point in having them lying around Smiley I know it's useless pretty much, I have some money invested in cloud mining so why not add an extra GH/s?

As ridiculous as this may look, solo mining with obsolete hardware may indeed make the most sense, after all it will cost you more than you gain anyway (unless you win the lottery).

If you use obsolete hardware on a mining pool you will lose money 100% of the time.

If you solo mine (or use a similar service) you will lose money 99.9999% of the time. But that change of being 15k richer is real.
