Anybody want to buy my bitcoin at $7300 each?

(I'll be happy to multiply my holdings 10x by buying back in at any exchange)  Wink

I'll get back to you in a couple years and may or may not take you up on that offer! People would've never thought Bitcoin could reach prices above even a single USD a couple of years ago!

Just read the article. The way that it is written,  it doesn't seem like a typo. If the charts really depict that it was probably a glitch after a big buy order cleared a sell wall

Did you read this?

http://www.silverdoctors.com/bitcoin-spikes-to-all-time-high-over-7300-from-dark-pool-settlement/

Can someone confirm/denie this, was it a glitch or something in the system? (cause i dont think that guy is lying, i belive its true, but it might have been just be some "program error" on the side of on the programs involved...?

What do you think, what do you think about that "dark pools" trading?

Ha, it was a blast from the future, I tell you! Haha! I guess it isn't that far-fetched to assume Bitcoin will be worth a couple thousand USD in the future, is it? Man, imagine how much my Bitcoin Millions are going to be worth then!!!

Uhm, no. Based on the current Bitstamp order book alone, 17k bitcoins can be bought without the price even going above $1000.

It's the price the last bitcoin would be sold on that exchange, if someone bought all avaible bitcoins on that exchange.

How did you interpret the chart to come out with this statement, can you please explain it?

You absolutelly dont understand how the market works... and you are confusing people like you here. This statement as the whole thread is useless, ok so i get that you think the guy is lying or it was some kind of glitch i just wish there would be some serious discussion about it, and not almost troll like posts :-(.

well this is interesting, i still do not full grasp the concept of the buy and sell "wall" orders, can you please clarify what did you meant by "cleared a sell wall"?

Like all avaiable bitcoins were sold and if you would like to buy bitcoin at that point, you would have to accept some ludicrously high price?

omg i god :-(... No i dont think so, its a site that pumps something, you are right, but that something is gold and silver (read some of the articles), but they cover BTC also from time to time, i dont think the guy was making it up, so it was really possibly a glitch

It's a lie. Because it if were true a lot more people and sites would be talking about it, since it would be bitcoin all time high. Don't forget that news like that would be all over the place.

Bitcoin traded at $10,000 for a few seconds at CampBX a month or two ago. This story is likely true - it can happen after someone makes an overly large buy order.
