I am new to this forum however I am fascinated with Bitcoin and would like to create my own coins.

Is there a tutorial or something that shows how to do this?

I would be looking to make the coin itself, along with the hologram which I can outsource to a company.

would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction

Thanks

Look up paper wallets, that's one way of implementing physical bitcoins.

I would talk to a CNC machining shop and see if you can get them to make you a die, then stamp them with a press..  The holograms, I'm not sure where though.

Google around for "custom holographic security stickers".  The people who make those will work with you on the design and whatnot.

And yes, they are stickers on Casascius' coins.  If you want to mint the 'holographic' effect into the metal, you're looking at a fairly expensive set-up fee.

If you do happen to make them - good!  Seeing as Casascius isn't really mass-producing them, and a lot of people love the idea of physical bitcoins, even though kind of defeat one of the points of bitcoin  Cool
