AVALON 2ND GENERATION 230 GHS SETUP HELP

SO I Just bought a ccbmc avalon 2 230 ghs bitcoin miner. it is a standalone so i have to plug into my computer via ethernet cable (i think) and configure it. whenever i plgu in the ethernet cable to both computer and miner then turn it on, the miner does not show up in my network and sharing center. is there something im doing wrong and if someone has a good tutorial on how to set up my miner it would be much appriaciated...

ok so i got it to connect then i put in my gateway as its ip adress in network setings. but when i go to that ip in internet explorer it doesnt come up... my wifi settings come up

you need to give it its own ip on your network
if your networks 192.168.2.1 then give it an ip like 192.168.2.97
if your networks 192.168.1.1 then give it an ip like 192.168.1.97
