Hi,

I have done a few searches and didn't find anything on this specifically, so I wanted to see if anyone else had seen this:

I got my Bitmaintech antminer s1 to s3 kit and got to the final step of upgrading the firmware.  I backed up everything, then did a first pass in error leaving the "preserve settings box checked".  The whole process took about 10 minutes and dumped me back at the web login page.  The miner started up and was producing around 95 Ghs.  Seeing this was a error I copied off my pool settings to notepad and ran the upgrade again with preserve settings unchecked.

The little spinner came on and seemed to go forever.  In fact for 8 hours.  Meanwhile the control board switched off and back on, and in another window I can log into the web interface and see the settings were wiped out, the miner status shows two channels, 16 asics, all 0's.  All the cables were seated properly and in the correct way.

So I guess the question is:  Did the flashing work?  Is it ok to close the first session and just assume all is well or is the board dead?

Thanks
AG
