I can't be the only person here who is sick of the same old mantras and rhetoric.

Now's the time to buy.

Just hold. The price will go back up.

Very cheap right now.

That last one I really must emphasise. It is a fallacy. There is no such thing as "cheap" Whatever the price is, is fair, based on the current market conditions. Coins can be under-valued or over-valued, but saying a coin is cheap has no bearing on anything. We see the same kind of repetitious vacuous nonsense every day that tries to convince people to buy this altcoin or that altcoin, and very rarely do we get any sensible reasoning.

A lot of people are posting about Captcoin and Bitshares right now, for example. Neither of which I currently hold, I should point out. But every new thread I see tells me nothing about these coins, and in fact I would go as far to say that seeing a barrage of threads on particular coins devoid of any rational arguments is in fact turning genuine coin investors away, and merely appealing to newbies and those who are easily swayed.

I know it's all about who shouts the loudest, here, but it would be nice to see a bit more thoughtful technical analysis, don't you think? No wonder the scam coins thrive. The level of scrutiny is minimal at best.

Agreed, rational arguments about coins are sadly lacking in most threads I have read.
