I'm fairly new to bitcoin mining. I just got my 2 new Antminers running yesterday. The status page shows I just found a block. What does that mean for me since I'm mining with nicehash?

You found a block for an alt coin.  You should have a balance in your account for either the coin you were mining or for BTC if they automatically convert it (not sure what nicehash does).  You will not get the full value of the block since this is a pool.

Still pretty cool though!

I only have a signature because I'm allowed.

How can you tell that it is an altcoin block that was found? They are bitcoin miners, right? I am using the bitcoin stratum. I am confused.

Best Share = 753,489 => not high enough for Bitcoin => must be an altcoin.

When you mine with nicehash, you are being paid for shares by somebody else, who has some control over what work is being done.  You could be mining on any SHA256 based cryptocurrency.  It makes no difference to you as the payment for your shares is made by Bitcoin.
