Hi. I'm new to 5-slot mining. I want to know if any of these two motherboards are useful to mine with 5 5830s.

ASRock 970 EXTREME4(100$)
ASUS M5A99X EVO(90$)

I'm not sure if they support 5 cards at the same time, and if they need A1-B17 shorting.

Also, would they work with a TX650 V2 PSU and a Seasonic X-750?. I think it's fine, but I'd like someone to confirm me.

Thanks in advance to all of you.

The 5030 has a nearby Powerconsumption to the 5870, because the PCB Design is similar, arround 170-180W. So for 5 Cards you will need 900W, only the GPU.
Your Seasonic will be a little weak about it. But if you add the second Corsair, than everything will be fine.

Ha!  Same seller I just bought mine from.   Smiley

They're pretty good, even have a latch.  Though it can be a slight annoyance to remove the cards as you have push it down using a screw driver - too tiny to use your finger.

i use that asrock board with 5 5830's without issue or need to short pins.  i run 2 cards on the board and 3 with extenders.  i draw 815w total for the system but that includes using a 2.5" notebook hdd, overclocked cores, 1 card will not downclock memory, and all running stock voltage.  so, best case i would guess if booting off a stick, downclock mem on all cards, undervolt a bit would still be above 750w.
