That's 9.7 BTC, but close enough.  If someone wants to send the last 0.3 BTC, feel free, but I'll go ahead and release.

Please download the files to view them properly - dropbox likes to do its own render, but it does weird things like adding extra tabs, or bolding words that are not bolded.

It means the original document was a crap PDF that was difficult to read.  I retyped the entire document so it was legible/searchable.

EDIT:  Compare my links with the original document - http://heikki.zerodistance.org/bitcoin/92797476-FBI-Bitcoin-Report-April-2012.pdf

I estimate with medium confidence that the rest of you (who hadn't previously read this) will find it interesting. Bitcoin isn't as helpful to criminals as I once thought - they've already got plenty of cheap, simple alternatives like MMORPG items.

Thanks SgtSpike!

I've been arguing for a while that there are much better alternatives to money laundering then Bitcoin.

Did you type it or OCR it?  I have a copy in Word and took me a few minutes to do.

OP should send it over to Cryptome for them to host, since all they have is the unreadable version.

I typed it, no OCR.  OCR introduces too many easily-overlooked mistakes.  Especially for something this low-quality, and the smaller font sizes in the text boxes and end notes.  It would take me longer to proof an OCR of this than it did to just type it up.

Will do.

EDIT:  Ok, I can't find any contact information for Cryptome... what would be the best route to inform them of this updated file?

"Law enforcement cannot target one central location or company for investigative purposes or to shut down the system."

That's the whole point!
