So if we start a gambling site in France lets say do we need a license right now as it isnt regulated as yet? I know in the USA you do 100% and also now do in the UK as it is deamed as 'moneys worth' that you are using to gamble. But are there any countries in the EU where currently you dont need a licence?

probably no.  bitcoin is such a weird thing tbh.  if it is mass adopted, its purpose is defeated.  if it isn't mass adopted and falls to obscurity, its worth is probably around $1 to current and will just fluctuate around there.

yeah, it currently is a bit unknown an unexplored, but as more and more it comes to light ,

i believe there certanly will be more regulations around it.

I think gambling is regulated in most European countries. And even if you accept only bitcoin, logically it still would be gambling and the same regulations would apply.

The government would always want to have a piece of the pie to get taxes or to charge licensing fees. In Europe most likely bitcoin operations will fall under "e-money" type laws, which are currently used in the UK for broad range of electronic payments.

I would say with almost complete certainty that there is nowhere in europe that you will be able to open a gambling site without some kind of license (at least in the EU). Gambling is highly regulated throughout the world.

This does not necessarily stop people from gambling nor does it necessarily stop people from opening a bitcoin related casio despite the regulations.

You could, however, open a site in a cou try that has little or no government, could get away with no regulation betting, but people wouldnt trust it, the customers need the regulation to know it is a fair game they are playing

Currently there's no law about Bitcoin usage.
But, there are regualtions that limits gambling from EU.
Otherside, there are many gambling sites that are not even close to "fair play" so you'll only lose your money.

My advice is that you hold on for a while so you don't lose your money.
There are a few good casinos where you can have some gain, but thats still not enough for me, as they take you all when you try to get more then they want to give.

You can win only by cheating, but that's not the point of any game.
I would like to play on gaming site that gives you a chance at least 51% but real ones, so you could for real gain 1-2% of your "in".
