Bitcoin mining is no longer profitable compared to hardware prices and difficulty increases

How do miners make a profit then?

It varies for everyone.  I can no longer GPU mine at profit.  Using BTC and Scrypt asics im able to mine with chap electricity and lots of space.  The current btc price is hurting but i'm hoping temporary.

I'm not mining at a loss even at current price.... so worth it yes.  Hopefully more worth it when it goes back up hopefully.

Had power supplies i ROIed with during GPU days i can get a S3 for not bad and use old PSU and im up and running for little cost.  Just wish i had more old PSU's as that would cut into ROI buying decent ones.  I got lucky with around 8500 + watts of power supplies from when GPU was profitable.
