Meet Project Geo, an open source f2f (friend to friend) platform for economic interchanges between people by creating user-friendly instruments for exchange or payment.

The idea has come from understanding that known blockchain projects solve existed financial problems only partly. We believes that Project Geo makes possible the next things,
- any people can create legal tender simple as send a message
- monetary supply is auto balancing by system in according to economy needs
- to maintain the network low power devices is enough
- is backed by real life connections between people that know well each other
- totally truly distributed data, there is no place that keep the all records

The team launched MVP to test the concept and started to work on the protocol.

GEO Decentralized - a low level protocol allowing you to build economic relations on completely different principles, more natural and familiar for humans.

GeoPay - is an MVP and example of the payment service that will be built on top of GEO Decentralized. Right now it's a centralized server and mobile apps that testing the concept for small focus group (up to 300 people). Next step is to proof the concept on larger audience, incl. business. For that we are going to launch on city level (up to 10k users) in cooperation with business associations and organizations.

FAQ

Is it payment system?
It is not just a payment system . This is an alternative economic model that makes possible next things:
- Payment services
- Transfer services
- The accounting services
- Identification services
- Regional and other currencies
and many other things

What is unique features?
Exchange of assets in this system based on different principles than we are used to see in fiat currencies, as well as in cryptocurrencies.
The main element is the ID (person / business / node / pp.keys) in the above mentioned systems, and therefore an asset is attached to it, here the main element - the relationship between economic agents (trust lines). That allows you to build a completely different logistics, protection and accounting system.

Kind of Ripple?
In opposite to Ripple, anyone can be a gateway (in/out), you don't need to invest to maintain the network.

What about decentralization?
There is no nodes that keep consolidated datafile (blockchain), synchronization is around connected users/nodes. It opens up new opportunities to build a truly "distributed" database. More details in white paper.

What is the alternative?
The fact is that the exchange of assets in GEO takes place on different principles than we are accustomed to the fiat currencies systems and cryptocurrencies on blockchain.
The important element of the above-mentioned systems is the ID (person / business / node), which respectively attached asset.
In contrast the main element of GEO is the relationship between economic agents (trust-lines). This allows to build a completely different logistics, protection and accaunting algorithms.
Also opens up new opportunities to build a truly "distributed" database. So, there is no point in the system where all the date collected (as in the classic blokchain)

Hi,

it's an open source project. The team is looking for people close to the ideas in GEO, people who works in similar direction. The team needs more menpower to improve/try out the economic/technical model if needed, cooperate in writing and testing the protocol of the network.

On the other hand, the team is building GeoPay as an app that potentially could be used as an example of commercial product built on top of the protocol and compensate the time and money spent on the project.

Anyhow, the global idea is simple - free, secure and simple economic exchange for people. That is the team's motivation)))
