Why do you think a dog sits when it's been trained to do so after hearing the word "sit"? BECAUSE IT CAN RECOGNIZE SOUNDS MEAN THINGS!

I'm not sure who's worse in this case - the scientists or the damn reporters that thing this is some kind of news.

In my own research probably yes, they understand us because dogs are man best friend. So if in vice versa if we understand dogs I think it takes time to understand them too. Relationship only works by giving time.

That was a known fact for qute some time now... just like cats, they understand us too, but they just don't give a f***.

hahaha it's a bit funny. most people who own dogs, well even those who don't are already aware of this and it's already a fact that dogs understand people for a loooong time now. it's just sad to think that some people treat them like they don't have feelings. that's the reason why we have to be kind to them.

So how did my dog learn to open the back door by pulling the handle down?..
Because i never learnt my dog to do this because i wanted it to stay in the back garden for a while..
Now it lets it's self in..So no sound and no command involved..

Also don't humans have to learn same as a dog..How else would we learn how to sit without being told to do so..

Still plenty of science still to do with dogs and humans..
Because i still think many many people don't realise how intelligent dogs truly are and they have well more feelings than us humans..
Dogs will pick up on your emotions in a flash..They know your coming before you get near your front door.. A 6th sense if you will call it that..
Because the dog loves you so much it feels your feelings..Like ET with Elliot ..
A dog can die with a broken heart because it's owner has gone..

So stop killing mans best friend how can you betray your friend like that..

dog and it owner are linked. Dog will understand the owner, but the owner maybe can understand the dog or can't. I can say it like a baby and their parents. Actually baby understand us, but the baby still can't talk. And the dog can't talk. Communicate is not only by a language, and language is not only expressed by word. It also can be a emotion. Like some of the "love bird" couple, they can understand each other just by stare each other.
