I was surprised BTER let me hold USD without a bank account!

I assumed if I didn't have a bank account set up for exchanges then I couldn't buy and sell USD. I think I thought this after Cryptsy did t let me buy USD.

Well I found out you can in BTER even without a bank account, it's brilliant and a great hedge against your altcoins. You can't maybe move them out without a bank account though I did t look into it, but the fact you can hold USD when things are looking down for crypto is great.
