One of our local up and coming Mayoral candidates (Victoria, BC) is a Bitcoin (and DogeCoin) supporter!
As well as 'knowing' the future of fiat, shes also a very decent City candidate so tip her a few mBTC.

It would help if you told us the candidates name.

Cool!  I'd definitely considering throwing her my vote if I lived in Victoria.  I only hope more candidates here in the lower mainland and in Canada embrace bitcoin.  It would definitely be a big factor I'd look at with a potential vote.  That and the legalization of marijuana.

Canada has a big chance to jump on the bitcoin ride.

Maybe soon your chances to be orn not elected will depend of if you support BTC or not.

While Id like to think so, it really is only a very small percentage of people that support bitcoin and even a smaller percentage that truly believe in it.  In the grand scheme of things, think of them as the Green Party.  We all know how much support they have compared to the big parties in Canada, and the Green Party has been around for 30 years.

I'll be watching this one closely though.
