Alt-Coin Mining in exchange for BTC

I'm seriously considering mining alt-coins and using the coins generated to convert into BTCitcoins.  The question, is it worth it? I would like some thoughts on this investment on any of these two(or more) coins and if it would be worth mining to exchange them in for BTCTC?
