pumpers and their coin selection

Hi guys!

I just don't understand the mindset of these big pumpers and pump groups and what criteria they use to select which coin to pump!
Are they damaging crypto by their actions! For example I'm not going to name coins as I'm not promoting here, but I can see 5/6 fantastic coins that with a little kick start (pump) could really push on and sky rocket as all they need is a pumped to make people notice and then the coins quality will do the rest!

However spent a long time researching pumps yesterday and it seems a lot of these groups are working together, either that or they have the same criteria! Now I'm not fudding any coin here but it seems a lot will be pumping neos this week! Yet There are so many coins out there to pump and coins that will make these pumpers a lot of btc! I don't get it and would love a pump group rep to explain their selection methods!
