REASON FOR THE EXISTENCE OF THIS THREAD:
The official Viacoin thread disallows the discussion of price action, price targets and chart analysis.

I myself would like to hear the input of other users on these topics.

This notification at the top of the official thread (just like this one) reads -

which is why which is why this thread exists and hopefully like minded users will participate.

SHORT INTRODUCTION TO VIACOIN AND CLEARINGHOUSE:
Clearinghouse is a Counterparty clone with extended functionality (such as A feature named 'Notery') built on top of the Viacoin blockchain (which itself is ultimately based upon the Bitcoin blockchain with a confirmation time of just 24 seconds) but rather than both being separate entities they are built and maintained together, making it a viable (and in many ways more practical) alternative with excellent prospects for the future such as active R&D into Peter Todds treechain proposal and allowing metadata to be stored inside of the blockchain for ease of third party application development.

I will get the ball rolling
Currently we seem to be pressing up against a short term fib line that's forcing the price down slightly.
It looks to have broken to the downside which isn't surprising given the overall trend of late.
Bittrex is the main exchange for Via at the moment but the order book is thin, we're less than 6 BTC from the very bottom as a matter of fact.

Short term target for the day was 12k satoshi but given the state of the order book I'd be aiming somewhere between 10 - 8k.

Am I right? Only time will tell

I am very excited for cheap via but others are noticing this i think and the orders are growing.

I noticed that too but am not too worried, patience is a virtue when it comes to forex charts it seems

13k looks like it's trying to be a strong resistance level but I suspect this is due to a number of people who were taken in by a false rumour a few weeks ago which inflated the price massively.

The only thing keeping the price up this high right now in my opinion is the reluctance of the bag holders who bought on the rumour to sell at a loss but as the price continues to correct itself the pressure will build and we may see some big sells in the near future you can only lose so much money before you feel silly and are forced to sell at a much bigger loss.
Many already bit the bullet at the 14k mark if you check the volume stats on bittrex.

The price can always go lower. I remember when Datacoin was valued at $1 each but that is a very different story now :p

At this rate sub 10k is not unrealistic, it's almost inevitable given the current state of the situation.
The risk is that a small piece of perceived to be good news may cause the price to increase dramatically in a short space of time, depends upon your personal threshold ultimately.
