Does anyone have any suggestions on how to learn how the cryptology of Bitcoin works?

I realize this is a long process, I have done some youtubing as I was completely new to the idea of ciphers, crypto.  I've learned ceasers, Vingere.  Watched a video about Mod math as is seems that will be needed and it got me to thinking.. It would be nice if there was a course on the crypto of BTC like from the ground up.. teaching the needed math, etc.

If I'm not mistaken u want to learn about the cryptography behind Bitcoin.

You might like to start here => https://www.khanacademy.org/economics-finance-domain/core-finance/money-and-banking/bitcoin/v/bitcoin-what-is-it

If U want to get paid some incentive for learning, www.CoinLearn.org is a good option.

This article may help U, but it requires cleanup => https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_bitcoin_works

The Bitcoin protocol uses 2 things from cryptology, both of which have plenty of information to read on Wikipedia: Hash Functions and Digital Signatures.

Which part are you wanting to understand?

Are you familiar with the concept of a digital signature?

Are you familiar with the concept of a hash?

Are you familiar with the concept of proof-of-work?

That's all the cryptography that bitcoin uses.  Once you understand those three concepts, you understand bitcoin's cryptography.

If you want an introduction to how these concepts are used by bitcoin, I suggest reading the bitcoin whitepaper originally posted by Satoshi Nakamoto:

I recommend you read the bitcoin whitepaper and then spend time poking around on the bitcoin wiki.  There's a ton of information in those wiki pages.  Just start with general articles till you start generating more specific questions!
