Hi Guys, so I just got my quad 7970s mining on 50BTC pool, thanks for help to get me to that point Smiley

My question is this. I am running the quad 7970s all stock, no overclock and running at like 78C on all 4 cards at a Fixed 655 fan speed. Is this ok Temps to run constant, and is it ok to run fan speed at that rate constant?

I am going to be upgrading to watercooling soon, but just want to make sure to get long life from these video cards. With them all being so close to each other ya know.

I have 14 fans in the case right now, how many of the fans would you suggest i have on intake and exhaust?

Sorry for these lame questions just never dealt with thermals like these before, and no experience.

Thanks a bunch for all your help

Also right now I am only getting like 2.189 Ghash/s..... Once I get better cooling and figure out how to work these programs better hopefully I can get that up. I am just using GUIminer right now Smiley

Yeah mane, good call on the 7970's, you should be able to get them waaay past 2.2ghash, I am pulling 2.7 out of mine, all crammed together butts to nuts.  Honestly, I don't care if my gpu temp is 85+. as long as the VRM's don't overheat you probably won't be frying your card.  Whatever you do, don't put an accelero xtreme on them, I have seen way too many broken cards up for sale on ebay where the seller has the same story "it was working well, I put the Accelero Xtreme on it, and a week later it won't work".  Seeing how you have 4 cards those coolers aren't an option, plus you said you are watercooling anyways, herp derp.

Yeah, you're golden. Get MSI AB if YOU don't already have it. Enable unofficial overclocking. Push them harder. The end.
