i recently downloaded bitcoin core wallet. when i first installed the wallet it said im 5 years behind so it started downloading all the blockchains but when it reached 14 weeks behind it stopped downloading i waited for 3 days but it is still on 14 weeks behind. at this point i dont know what to do so can anyone tell me what to do Smiley

Did you try restarting it? The computer? What OS?

You can always use a so-called thin client if you don't wish to use Bitcoin core.

I did restart my laptop and the wallet still it is not working, I made a transfer of some amount of btc to that wallet address so, I don't know what to do. This is the second time I'm downloading it.

If you are only 14 weeks behind, skip the torrent just pick a node from list and -connect to it.

If you need help with that part tell us your OS (Win7, Win8, MacOS, Linux)

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

#1 Press "WindowsKey + R" it will open a window like this


#2 enter c:\Program Files\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe -connect=84.200.34.113 in the "Open:" line

You might have to change the path if you installed Bitcoin somewhere else. And you might need to change the IP depending on your location. I used the first in the list. (see below)

#3 press ok

#4 wait till you are synced

#5 shutdown bitcoin core

#6 start the way you usually do.
