How to Import Bitcoin from Core to Armory?

Maybe I am being simple, I don't know.

Anyway, I have downloaded Armory, I have waited overnight while it downloaded the blockchain, I have waited while it synced and I was hoping it would be ready to use.

I have been using Bitcoin Core and thought I would be able to send funds from there to Armory but when I try to open it I get the error "cannot obtain a lock on data directory.... Bitcoin Core is proberbly already running.

How to I move my BTC from Core to Armory?

I am on Windows 8.

Armory runs Bitcoin Core in the background, so that is why it is saying that Bitcoin Core is probably already running.

You can shutdown Armory and then try to start the Bitcoin Core GUI.
