I'm going to go out on a limb and say I guess I know what your thinking. Another price of BTC thread. I for one have little interest in BTC price, but its still fun to speculate.

I have decided to look at price discovery in a whole new way this year. After being wrong with the silver price for the whole of this year, I decided it was me that was in the wrong - not the markets. Subsequently I am basing these guestimates on market sentiment, not on my ideology.

My current belief is that BTC is going to drop to the $150-$75 in the mid-term. I also don't think we will ever see a rise like the one experienced in 2013 in BTC again. That ship has sailed.

Like said I am gauging this off market sentiment. I see investment money for BTC drying up. I also think that as BTC gets implemented as a currency its value will fall.

The real money to be made in this industry is going to be in start-ups.

Whats all your predictions?

If you would have asked me a month ago i would have said no higher than 500 dollars if it even hit that. BUT now with the news about possibly getting listed on Nasdaq, well now that changes everything. If that should go thru during 2015 well we could see a complete game changer. and if the price starts going up, You can bet its going to go, and go, and go and we could never really predict when exactly it will stop going. If this COIN gets on nasdaq there is a pretty good chance we could see some much higher lows than normal.

Then please do so.  In the Speculation sub-forum.

This is the "Bitcoin Discussion" sub-forum (unless a mod has already moved this to the right place since I posted this).

Whats all your predictions?

I predict that I will need to report at least 200 threads for being in the wrong sub-forum.

I predict that I will answer the exact same 10 newbie questions at least 100 times each, due to newbies failing to look into the basics before posting.

I predict that MANY people will make price predictions, and that most of them will be wrong.

I predict that the few who are right will be right due to luck, and not due to any particular skill, talent, knowledge, or ability.

Why is everyone so pessimistic? Everyone wants to know the price in the future, but it depends what we all do with future. Think long-term, we need a better community (the most are to greedy and just want fast money), more Bitcoin start-ups and investors. This helps to build a solid basis.

Okay then.....

You know replies like this are not going to get 'noobs' wanting to join this community any time soon.

slump in the first half, but rising back to 400,500,600 at the end....

the block halving in 2016 is significant.   Bitcoins will keep
getting more and more scarce.
