Cannot remove transaction fee

I am using the latest bitcoin-qt client and the problem is that it doesn't allow me to make a transaction without paying the default 0.0003 fee. The confirmation time doesn't matter as long as it's < ∞.  Setting the fee to 0 in the options or console doesn't do anything. I'm thinking that making a raw transaction through the console might do the trick but i have no idea how to do that. Thanks in advance!

There's no way to bypass it in bitcoin-qt, however there are forks that can bypass. see: "no forced transaction fee" (search for it).

That's unfortunate... I managed to resolve my problem by exporting the wallet to blockchain.info and making a custom transaction.
