So just how many Th's do you need to be effective at doing your own pool?

Beginning of last year ... about 100GH/s
Beginning of this year ... about 42TH/s
Now ... about 1.4PH/s
Beginning of next year ... ?

0.5% seems a reasonable figure to use.

There's the issue of not averaging some blocks per diff change ...
